Frequently Asked Questions
What plan should I choose?

Three months is a good solid chunk of time to refresh your knowledge. Choose the six-months plan if you need to learn the basics or when you have been away from math/science/grammar for a while.

We also have a 24-month plan for students who need more time for their GED Prep. Click here to purchase the 24-month plan.

How will my Covcel membership work?
As soon as you sign up, you become a member of Covcel GED Prep.
Covcel GED Prep is divided into four subjects, and you can start learning immediately. You will also have access to GED Test strategies. You can log in at any time, on any device and continue learning; there are no limitations; you access all lessons at once.
How can I sign my son/daughter/friend up for the Covcel course?

You can quickly sign someone else up for the Covcel course using the Covcel Gift Card option.

Let’s explore how it works.

First, you need to know that every Covcel account is assigned to a unique email address. So, you need to have an email address for the person who will be the Covcel member.

Go to pricing and choose “Covcel Gift Card.”

You will be directed to the page where you can choose the amount.

  • Choose $27 for 3-month access to the Covcel course
  • Choose $46 for 6-month access to the Covcel course

In the field “To” type the email address of the person who receives this gift card.

In the field “From” type your name and in the next area you can write a short message.

Click “Buy now” and continue to checkout.

Upon successful payment, our system will send an email to the recipient. This email will include instructions on how to redeem the gift card and create a Covcel account.

Your son/daughter/friend only needs to click on the “redeem” link. He/she will be directed to our page to choose the 3- or 6-month course.

After selecting the course, he/she will be directed to the checkout, and the price of the course will be automatically deducted from the gift card.

How the Covcel Gift Card works?

Similar to gift cards, you can specify the amount, recipient, and message when purchasing. Covcel Gift Cards never expire. The recipient will immediately receive an email with information about your gift. Redeeming a gift card is easy. The recipient can click on the link in the email or copy and paste the gift card code on the checkout page.

What is your refund policy?
You can request a refund within seven days of purchasing. Refunds take 5-10 days to appear on a customer’s statement.
Do I get access to everything all at once or do I have to wait?
Yes, you get access to everything right away. You can attack the material at any pace you want.
Can I study on my own time?
You study when it’s convenient for you. You don’t need to worry about traffic jams or childcare.
How long will it take for me to get my GED diploma?
That’s a tricky question because we don’t know your background and we don’t know how much time you want to spend on learning. But we assume you are motivated, and if you study for 3-5 times a week for about 45 minutes each time then it can take 2-3 months to get a GED® diploma. If you would learn once a week, it will take 6-9 months to get ready for the GED® test.
Can you take the GED® test online?
No, you need to come to a GED Testing Center and take the four tests in person (you can do so within a 2-year time frame). The reason is simple. If your state department of education would allow you to take the test online, there’d be no way to tell who was taking the GED test.
Where to begin with GED Prep
You should choose the subject that’s easiest for you. In general, the goal is to go through a series of small successes to develop confidence in your capabilities. We call this the principle of “small steps.” Ask yourself: what topics are easier for me: Math, Language, Science, or Social Studies? Most people choose the Language Test as their first exam.
Can I track my progress?
Of course, tracking your progress is easy. The green horizontal line that is located on the right side of the lesson (if you are using your computer) or under the lesson (if you are using your phone) indicates your progress. This line is growing with every lessons and quiz you take.
Is this course right for me? Meaning, will it really “work” for me?
Well, everyone’s situation is a little bit different, and of course, we can’t guarantee results, but we can give you an EXACT blueprint for success including all the tools and strategies, and a step-by-step plan. The key “requirement” is definitely that you have a positive attitude, and that you are an action-taker and a “coachable” person.
Will I receive anything via snail mail or do I need to download some software?
Nope! Everything takes place online (all digital!) and you can log in anytime you want (and go at your own pace), no need to download any software.
