How can I sign my son/daughter/friend up for the Covcel course?

You can quickly sign someone else up for the Covcel course using the Covcel Gift Card option.

Let’s explore how it works.

First, you need to know that every Covcel account is assigned to a unique email address. So, you need to have an email address for the person who will be the Covcel member.

Go to pricing and choose “Covcel Gift Card.”

You will be directed to the page where you can choose the amount.

  • Choose $27 for 3-month access to the Covcel course
  • Choose $46 for 6-month access to the Covcel course

In the field “To” type the email address of the person who receives this gift card.

In the field “From” type your name and in the next area you can write a short message.

Click “Buy now” and continue to checkout.

Upon successful payment, our system will send an email to the recipient. This email will include instructions on how to redeem the gift card and create a Covcel account.

Your son/daughter/friend only needs to click on the “redeem” link. He/she will be directed to our page to choose the 3- or 6-month course.

After selecting the course, he/she will be directed to the checkout, and the price of the course will be automatically deducted from the gift card.

Why was my card declined?

Unfortunately, when the payment processing company declines a transaction on behalf of your bank or card issuer, it does not tell us why.

You can do three things:

1. Sign up for a Covcel account using PayPal.

2. Check if you added all needed information, including the CVC code.

3. Contact your bank

Paying with Pre-Paid Cards

Covcel GED Prep lets you use pre-paid cards for the majority of purchases, but certain restrictions apply.

The following restrictions apply to pre-paid Visa, MasterCard, and American Express cards:

  • Covcel doesn’t support entering the three-digit CVV code normally found on the back of some cards. If the code is required by the issuing bank, payments may not process successfully.

Note:

  • Some banks may require registration of pre-paid gift cards by name and billing address.
  • There’s a $1 authorization at the time of order to make sure the payment method is valid. This authorization is not a charge, but banks may hold the authorized funds as unavailable until the authorization expires.

Unable to Make a Payment / Payment Errors

Unfortunately, when the payment processing company declines a transaction on behalf of your bank or card issuer, it does not tell us why.

We suggest using PayPal. PayPal payments are free for you, we cover all costs.

If it doesn’t work, please get in touch with your bank or card issuer to find out the specific reason your card was declined. They are declining the transaction, not us.

Are my credit card details safe?

Yes. Our payment processor is Stripe which has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. To accomplish this, Stripe makes use of best-in-class security tools and practices to maintain a high level of security.

What to do if my credit card is declined

Sometimes, for reasons unknown to us, a credit card is declined. If this happens to you, we suggest that you sign up for Covcel by using PayPal.

To do so, choose PayPal from the payment page (see the image below) and you will be redirected to the PayPal website.

Here you can use your credit card or debit card. You don’t pay any extra costs to PayPal. Covcel pays all additional costs.

Failed Payments

When you pay for a purchase on our website and receive the message “Failed payment”, this means that our system was not able to charge your credit card.

So, even if you tried to pay 2 or 3 times and you got the “failed payment” message, your credit card was NOT charged.

Unfortunately, we cannot influence the payment process.

We suggest using PayPal. PayPal payments are free for you, we cover all costs.

What Forms of Payment Do You Accept?

We accept all major credit cards and PayPal.

If you don’t have a credit card, choose PayPal from the payment page (see the image below) and you will be redirected to the PayPal website. Here you can use your credit card or debit card.
